For extremely heavy lifting applications, traditional polyester round slings are often not the most practical solution. As their lifting capacity increases, they also become significantly heavier and more difficult to handle, making them less efficient and more challenging to use.
In these situations, round slings manufactured from high-performance fibres (HMPE), such as EXTREEMA® round slings, are the preferred choice. They are up to three times lighter than comparable polyester slings, have a smaller diameter for easier handling, and offer a strength-to-weight ratio up to 15 times greater than steel.
While HMPE round slings have a higher initial purchase cost than traditional polyester slings, they often deliver a lower total cost of ownership. Their durable outer cover, available in either Dyneema® or Cordura®, provides excellent wear resistance, extending the sling's service life.
Additionally, HMPE round slings can frequently be repaired, depending on the type and severity of the damage, which enhances their long-term value.

Round slings are subject to the following types of damage: caused by various factors, including improper use, wear and tear or how the sling is stored. All slings must be visually inspected before use. If you detect any damage, the sling must be taken out of use immediately, clearly marked as damaged and not for use, or sent to us straight away for assessment.
