CERTEX UK secures EQUINOR Greater Wash contract across key offshore wind assets
CERTEX UK has been awarded a major contract by Equinor to support operations across the Greater Wash offshore wind portfolio, covering the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm, Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm, and the floating Hywind offshore wind projects.
The award reinforces CERTEX UK’s position as a trusted provider of inspection, maintenance, and lifting solutions within the offshore wind sector. The scope includes statutory inspection and maintenance of transmission and generation assets, turbine-mounted safety equipment, and critical lifting systems across the portfolio.
Located off the Norfolk coast, the Dudgeon and Sheringham Shoal wind farms form a key part of the UK’s Greater Wash cluster—one of the country’s most established offshore wind regions. Together, these assets already power hundreds of thousands of UK homes and play a vital role in supporting national decarbonisation targets.
Under this contract, CERTEX UK will deliver:
- Inspection and maintenance of turbine generators and associated safety systems
- Servicing of lifting equipment, cranes, and balance-of-plant assets
- Supply of lifting accessories and consumables
- Ongoing offshore support through dedicated service rotations
The agreement also reflects EQUINOR’s strategy of optimising operations across its UK wind fleet, including the integration of assets and shared infrastructure to drive efficiency and reduce emissions.
CERTEX UK continues to demonstrate its capability to support the evolving needs of the offshore renewables market—particularly as the UK accelerates toward large-scale, integrated offshore wind developments.
This latest contract marks another step forward in strengthening supply chain partnerships that are essential to delivering reliable, safe, and cost-effective offshore wind operations.
A big thank you to our team and partners who made this possible.
“Securing this contract with Equinor is a significant milestone for CERTEX UK and a testament to the strength of our engineering services capability within the offshore wind sector. Supporting key assets across the Greater Wash portfolio—including Dudgeon, Sheringham Shoal, and Hywind—reflects both the trust Equinor places in Certex and our proven ability to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality inspection and maintenance solutions in demanding offshore environments.
I’m incredibly proud of our team and engineers whose expertise and commitment have made this achievement possible. We look forward to building on this collaboration and delivering value across the lifecycle of these critical renewable energy assets.”
