External Sales

Certex UK are part of the Axel Johnson International Lifting Solutions Group, a global player specialising in lifting equipment, steel wire rope and services.  

 The purpose of the role is to develop and secure sales opportunities via growth of existing clients, development of new clients, identifying new products and services / acquisition opportunities and deal with technical enquires / tenders.

 The ideal candidate will have a strong developed network within the Lifting sector and a clear understanding of opportunities. A strong technical capability within the wire rope / lifting industry sector would be desirable to help realise potential that would otherwise not be identified. 

Reporting to the Divisional Manager your duties will include:

  • Liaising with customers face to face, over the phone and by email.
  • Visit new/existing customer face to face.
  • Looking for cross / upselling opportunities.
  • You will work closely with the Divisional Manger as well as the internal sales team.
  • You will proactively chase up your quotations.
  • Working with technical proposals and tenders.
  • Working to set targets and KPI’s.

 

Your skills and experience to achieve this will preferably include: 

  • An excellent understanding of the lifting industry.
  • Strategic thinker with a commercially aware but customer focused mindset.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Demonstratable track record of new business growth.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
