COURSE CONTENTS

The course content is quite substantial and covers the following areas:

  • Regulations
  • Crane Types
  • Duty Charts
  • Method Statements
  • Ground Loadings
  • Slinging Techniques
  • Mat Sizes
  • Risk Assessments

Each course delegate will be expected to complete a written and practical examination which includes supervision of an actual lifting operation. If successful, a certificate will be issued. This will help the Employer to address certain legal requirements by being able to demonstrate employee competency. A detailed course handout is also provided for future reference.

DURATION

The standard course is intended to last 3 days but for an experienced Crane Supervisor who holds a valid or recently expired certificate, a 2 day refresher can be attended. Bespoke courses can also be discussed upon application.

LOCATION

The course is generally held at the customer’s own premises as a crane will be required for the course. However we are also able to utilise Certex locations if required. This can be discussed upon application.
