TR 55 - Socketing of Steel Wire Ropes
The course involves an informative discussion on the techniques of socketing followed by a practical demonstration of how to socket standard six stranded and multi-stranded steel wire ropes.
COURSE CONTENTS
The course content is quite substantial and covers the following areas:

Method and Step by Step Socketing Procedure
Each course delegates will be expected to complete a written and practical examination which will include the proof loading of terminations. A certificate of attendance will be issued which aids in addressing the various legislative requirements placed upon employers to ensure their employees are competent. The course includes a substantial handout for future reference.
DURATION
The standard course held at our Head Office is intended to last 2 days. Bespoke courses or courses held at your own premises will be discussed upon application.
LOCATION
The course is generally held at our Head Office and manufacturing hub based at Harworth, however we are able to utilise other CERTEX sites around the country and also hold courses at your premises if adequate facilities are available.
LEEA CERTIFIED COURSE
The content of this course and the standard of instruction has been approved by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA). A certificate will be issued by LEEA on successful completion of the course.
