Certex (UK) parent company Axel Johnson International is strengthening its position in the UK market as a supplier of products and services to industrial customers by acquiring Town & County Engineering Services Ltd. Now part of Axel Johnson International’s business group Industrial Solutions. The transaction closed July 14, 2017.
Town & County supplies bearings, power transmission products, conveyor belting, consumables and related services primarily to customers in the Eastern part of the UK with a focus on the food and beverage industry.
“We have been interested in expanding eastward (in the UK) for some time, so Town & County is an excellent geographic complement,” says Ola Sjölin, Managing Director of Industrial Solutions. “I see Town & County’s complete conveyor belt offering opening significant new opportunities for the company as a whole.”
Town & County’s 16 employees service approximately 300 active customers from a single location in Pinchbeck, near Spalding.
“Town & County’s knowledge and expertise have attracted an extremely loyal client base with many relationships lasting over 20 years,” says Glenn Campbell, TCES General Manager. “The Company will continue to run with a family business feel providing continuity to all our partners and employees. We can now look forward to a second, exciting chapter in TCES’s history.”
