Advantages of Certex Standard Swaged Terminals

• Requires no heat or tightening of screws to complete the attachment of the terminal of the rope.
• Neat - Less bulky than other conventional wire rope terminations.

Standard Range

The standard terminals shown have been selected to provide designers and manufacturers with a readily available series of swaged terminations.

Special fittings can however be manufactured to your own requirements.

After production all completed assemblies are proof loaded to twice the recommended safe working load.

Standard Terminals in the CERTEX range are supplied zinc plated for corrosion protection and can be attached to both galvanised and un-galvanised steel wire rope. Most of the standard range of terminals are also available in stainless steel from stock. These are intended for specific use with our range of stainless steel ropes.

Non-standard terminals

We have existing designs for many non-standard fittings, which include:
Male Adjusters with alternative length, size and type of thread.
Fork ends with alternative jaw dimensions
and pin sizes.
Eye ends with alternative pin sizes. A limited range of ball end fittings.

Plastic covered ropes

These can be used with CERTEX swaged fittings, the swaged shank being butted tight to the extruded plastic covering the rope. If sealed joints are required, special fittings with lengthened shanks recessed to accommodate the outside diameter of the plastic covering can be produced.

Nylon tubes, conduits or other coverings can be fitted where desired to cables, complete with abutments and lubricators.
