Lifting Gear Repair and Maintenance

Certex provide services from chain block repairs to total management programmes for your facility providing a fast turn round of equipment. Every Lifting Centre has local facilities for repair and testing. This is backed up by central production facilities where large volumes of Lifting gear are inspected and repaired.

CertexLegislative Background

The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (L.O.L.E.R.) came into force on the 5th of December 1998. This supplants previous Lifting Equipment Related regulations (see section on Legislation). This puts the responsibility for safe use and control of Lifting Equipment onto the Purchaser. Quite simply the owner of lifting equipment is responsible if a piece of Lifting Equipment is used in an unsafe condition. It is therefore imperative that regular inspection is carried out, followed by speedy corrective action to resolve any identified safety problems.
