Test & Inspection Services

Certex provide Inspection services from loose gear inspection to fixed gear inspection. A complete service for test and certification either on site or within Certex facilities is available. This can be a stand alone service or part of the LEMIS total management programme. Lifting Centres have qualified service engineers who can perform this service locally. These are backed up by central support functions where required.

CertexLegislative Background

The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (L.O.L.E.R.) came into force on 5th December 1998. This supplants all previous laws (see section on Legislation). This puts the responsibility for safe use and control of Lifting Equipment onto the Purchaser. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that competent personnel inspect fixed and loose gear at regular intervals. Responsibility can be taken over by Certex when adopting a LEMIS system.
